    Military cultural competence: A gateway to effective service provision

    Military culture shapes the experiences of military families and how they respond to stressful situations. Helping professionals can assist these families to successfully overcome their challenges by ensuring they understand aspects of military culture and it's the impact on the families' experiences. This article provides an overview of military cultural competence and strategies helping professionals can use to continually enhance their competence in serving military families.
