Military family readiness: An overview
By: Emmy Wright and Allison Tidwell, Graduate Research Assistants, Military REACH
The Military REACH tagline is "Mobilizing research, promoting family readiness", but what is military family readiness? In this piece, we explain the concept, how it relates to family functioning, why it matters, and how the military aims to promote military family readiness through the Military Family Readiness System.
Members of the Military REACH team attended the Southeastern Council on Family Relations. We presented on topics ranging from mental health policy to Service members and mental health utilization. We had a great time and even came home with awards!
