Our very own, Haley Sherman , Military REACH Graduate Research Assistant, received the 2020 Research Poster Award for the College of Human Sciences for her poster titled Assessing dimensions of combat exposure among soldiers and implications for mental health. Graduate and undergraduate students submitted posters online to be reviewed by faculty and staff at Auburn for The 2020 Auburn Research: Virtual Student Symposium. Each poster was judged on the purpose of the study, the appropriate content being included, the organization of information, visual clarity and presentation appeal, and analytical and critical thinking skills. Each poster was reviewed by three faculty or staff Auburn University employees. Haley’s poster was chosen as the top graduate student poster within the College of Human Sciences - way to go Haley!

Sherman, H., Frye-Cox, N., & Lucier-Greer, M. (2020). Assessing dimensions of combat exposure among soldiers and implications for mental health. Poster presented at the 2020 Auburn Research: Virtual Student Symposium, Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama.

In addition to being recognized for her excellent research poster, Haley has been awarded the First-Year Experience Mentor (FYE) Award. The FYE Awards recognize selected graduate students who mentored first-year graduate students, serving as an advisor to help them acclimate to their graduate careers at Auburn University.
The Military REACH team is beyond proud of Haley for her hard work and determination. Her awards are well deserved, and we are excited to watch her continue to grow as a professional.
