2. Caregiver
Caregivers are people who support someone who is physically or psychologically impaired and therefore dependent on others. Caregivers are often family members of the person in need. Caregivers may provide instrumental support (i.e., hands-on support for daily functioning) or emotional support (i.e., affection and encouragement).

3. Caregiver Burden
Caregiver burden is the stress that caregivers may feel as a result of their taking care of an individual with a chronic illness or disability, especially if the caregiving person perceives the caregiving role as a stressor.
