Biography

Dr. Nick Frye-Cox is a Postdoctoral Fellow for Military REACH. He earned his PhD in Human Development and Family Science at the University of Missouri in 2018. His work focuses on the interplay between emotions, social relationships, and health. Generally, his research examines the consequences of emotional competence for psychological wellbeing and social functioning. In a related line of work, he explores the role emotions play in influencing stress, with the goal to promote positive relationship outcomes. In addition to his research, Dr. Frye-Cox has 10 years of prior teaching experience in higher education and has worked on several government contracts designed to improve military readiness.
