  • This report is positioned to provide the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) with information on intimate partner violence (IPV) screeners and assessments that are reliable and valid, well-suited for use within military populations, and appropriate for use by a coordinated community response team (e.g., victim advocates, law enforcement officers, military commanders).1 The report also identifies the purpose of each IPV measure, such as assessing the presence of IPV or risk of future violence, and guides follow-up actions (e.g., safety planning) by providers. Finally, contextual considerations are provided to assist helping professionals’ decision-making process when selecting a specific measure.
