Log-Linear Regression

Loglinear models allow researchers to investigate relationships between categorical variables, which may include variables which rank traits in order or perhaps distinguish between groups based on certain traits (e.g., enlisted service members versus officers). However, it is important to note that loglinear models do not idicate the order in which variables are related. For example, loglinear models may be used to examine whether military rank is related to marital status, but could not indicate if military rank predicts marital status or vice versa.
